The Thiers® Santoku
The Santoku is a general-purpose knife, the equivalent of a 25 cm chef's knife. The term Santoku literally means "three good things" in relation to the tasks usually performed in the kitchen, namely Slicing, Dicing, and Mincing.

The Santoku has a blade about ten to twenty centimeters long with a straight edge. The origin of the word comes from san which means three. This corresponds to the three edges of the knife.
